MISSION STATEMENT

Our mission at Imagine Academy is to help children, and the families of these children, diagnosed with Autistic Spectrum Disorder, Pervasive Developmental Disorder, and Aspergers Syndrome.

 

Imagine Academy is an established school teaching autistic children, ages 3-21, on a one-to-one basis utilizing a multidisciplinary approach.  This includes two widely accepted methods:  Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA), and DIR®/Floortime™.  In addition, the school utilizes many new techniques that show significant merit.  We include related services such as speech, occupational and physical therapies as well as yoga, music therapy and art education.  In order to allow each child to continue his/her progress at home, parent and family training is a cornerstone of the daily curriculum.

PHASE II
RESIDENCE
SECURING A SAFE HOME

The Imagine Academy’s Residential Facility is being established to provide a neighborhood home for those children whose needs will be best served by living in a fully staffed, safe, welcoming and appropriate environment.  Life skills and vocational training will be an important part of the curriculum.  Staff will include 24-hour medical availability.  The Residence is scheduled to open within two years.

PHASE III
AUTISM RESOURCE CENTER
ADVANCING THE TREATMENT

The Imagine Academy’s Resource Center will be available to reduce the overwhelming impact autism may have on an entire family.  The center will guide, educate and support these families with educational, medical and nutritional counseling, as well as a lending library of books and developmental tools and toys for families to use at home.
