Imagine Academy designs individualized programs that are tailored to the unique cognitive, sensorimotor and communication profiles of each student. Each student has his or her own program book, which blends goals from ABA, DIR/ Floortime, occupational therapy, physical therapy, creative arts therapies, thematic units, social thinking and adapted core curriculum. Students receive individual and group pull-out and push-in services that not only establish new skills but ensure carryover across all academic environments.
Academic programming at Imagine Academy blends ABA and DIR/Floortime methodologies with adapted core curriculum and thematic units targeting literacy, science, math and social studies.
Vocational Skills Training
At Imagine Academy, we prepare our students for independent living and life outside of school. As students get older, vocational skill training becomes an integral part of their school day.
Speech Language Therapy
Speech and language therapy programs at Imagine Academy are designed with a central goal: functional communication in all academic and social environments
Creative Arts Therapies
Creative arts therapy is a mental health profession that uses active engagement in the arts to address the psychological, emotional, developmental, and psycho-social needs of individuals in order to help them maximize their potential through interactive play.
The physical therapy department develops and provides universally designed and developmentally appropriate motor programs for all students.
The occupational therapy department at Imagine Academy aims to improve students’ ability to sustain effort and stay on task.
